Mad Mountain Adventures strives to provide an exciting outdoor experience of the Black Hills year round on high quality machines and excellent customer service.

South Dakota offers over 350 miles of groomed, interconnecting trails for snowmobiling.

The Black Hills forest offers many, many miles of ATV riding right from our office. 2011 will see the beginning of the Black Hills off-roading trail "system."

The 500cc-570cc snowmobiles are well suited for our trail system and are available in single rider and double rider machines.

The automatic ATV is a great choice for single and double riders. We offer 350cc and 366cc single person and 400cc to 650cc machines. Our double person ATVs are manufactured by Arctic Cat to ensure passenger comfort and safety. The rear rack is replaced by a seat with a backrest and handles as well as the lengthening of the frame for proper distribution of the weight carried.

Each snowmobile operator must be at least 14-years-old with a parent. This is the policy of Mad Mountain Adventures. No snowmobile damage insurance is available.

Each ATV operator must have a valid license as we license our ATVs to operate on area county and state roads. This allows for the convenience of continued trail access throughout the forest. Mad Mountain Summer Adventures encourages machines travel under 25mph.

Mad Mountain offers you the opportunity to experience the outdoors at your own pace with un-guided rentals, whether on a snow machine or an all-terrain vehicle. South Dakota provides and maintains the snowmobile trail system and the US Forest Service oversees the forest use.
